[Jesus said] A Sower went out to sow. And as he sowed, some seeds fell along the path, and the birds came and devoured them. Other seeds fell on rocky ground, where they did not have much soil, and immediately they sprang up, since they had no depth of soil, but when the sun rose they were scorched. And since they had no root, they withered away. Other seeds fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up and choked them. Other seeds fell on good soil and produced grain, some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty. He who has ears, let him hear. Matthew 13:3-9
Greetings in the name of Jesus!
God formed Adam and his entire offspring of dust from the ground and breathed into us the breath of Life. God saw that everything He had made was very good. That was when we were “good soil” bearing good fruit. Then came the fall. The ruin that come from believing an empty promise that brough death to us. Naturally, we do not look very good. But in Genesis 3 we hear God promising this to all who have been subjected to futility “I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed. This is the first promise of our Saviour. Jesus is God’s seed/Son Whom He Supernaturally sowed into us in Baptism, regrafting us into the Tree of Life, restoring us to the image and likeness we had before the fall – of sons and daughters of God.
