Then the other disciple, who had reached the tomb first, also went in, and he saw and believed; for as yet they did not understand the Scripture, that he must rise from the dead. John 20:8-9
Greetings in the name of our risen Lord Jesus!
We do not gather on Easter morning to fulfill a tradition but to receive salvation and sanctification, to be reminded that God fulfilled His promise to deliver us from sin and death once and for all by sacrificing His only begotten son for us; which means that the measure of our faith must not be in our own strength to believe – we are powerless in that regard. Our faith rests solely on God’s faithfulness to His promises.
