[Jesus said:] Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. Matthew 5:17

Greetings in the name of Jesus!

Jesus’ fulfilling means that God’s Law has been reasserted, restored to its proper ministerial function to direct our hungering and thirsting for righteousness – that longing for life to be turned the right way up – to Christ’s undying love for repentant sinners and His righteousness, to love what He commanded and desire what He promised. Now, this loving and desiring are only possible if our banishment from Eden is abolished, if the accusations of God’s Law against us are covered, which they are by Jesus’ all-sufficient sacrifice.
